Hemato Oncology (HO)
SESSION OVERVIEW

Hemato Oncology represents a rapidly advancing specialty focused on the diagnosis and management of blood cancers through precision medicine, molecular insights, and evolving therapeutic strategies. This focused session is designed to strengthen clinical understanding of hematological malignancies while integrating evidence-based treatment approaches and multidisciplinary care frameworks.

SESSION OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

01

Understand Disease Biology: Develop a strong foundation in the pathophysiology, classification, and evolution of hematological malignancies including leukemias, lymphomas, and plasma cell disorders

02

Strengthen Diagnostic Approach: Learn structured diagnostic pathways using hematological investigations, bone marrow evaluation, immunophenotyping, cytogenetics, and molecular diagnostics

03

Apply Risk Stratification Models: Interpret prognostic scoring systems and staging frameworks that guide treatment planning and outcomes

04

Review Treatment Strategies: Gain clarity on standard and emerging therapies including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

05

Manage Treatment-Related Toxicities: Identify, prevent, and manage complications such as infections, cytopenias, bleeding risks, and organ toxicities

06

Integrate Multidisciplinary Care: Understand collaborative roles of oncology, hematology, pathology, transfusion medicine, and critical care teams

07
